Yoplait splits director’s job into two roles

Yoplait Dairy Crest is restructuring its marketing department following the departure of marketing director Anne Hollamby.

Hollamby quit to join confectioner Bendicks of Mayfair (MW August 3) and has replaced marketing director Neil McIntosh, who left to take up the same role at rival Ferrero UK.

Yoplait marketing controllers Jackie Creasy and Gerry Roads will retain their titles, but have effectively been promoted after taking on the responsibilities of Hollamby’s old role, which has been scrapped.

Creasy will oversee Yoplait’s brands, which include Petits Filous, Frubes, Wildlife yogurt and fromage frais, Yop yogurt drinks, Pokémon fromage frais and yogurts.

The company also makes fat-free yogurts and desserts on licence for H J Heinz.

Roads will be responsible for new product development and Yoplait’s specialist ingredients unit.

Both Creasy and Roads will oversee the marketing team on a day-to-day basis and report to commercial director Jamie Robertson.

Robertson says: “Since the inception of Yoplait Dairy Crest, Hollamby has played a key role in the successful development of the company within an ever-growing department.”

Yoplait’s creative and media accounts, worth about £1.5m, are handled by McCann-Erickson.

Yoplait is launching a new portable fromage frais dessert pack, – Frubes Choc & Toffee -aimed at children.

The company says the launch will inject more than £10m worth of sales into the children’s chilled yogurts and dessert sector.
