May nets top Ladbrokes job in shake-up
Ladbrokes, the gaming group, has promoted Andy May to the position of head of marketing following a top level restructure which has led to the departure of marketing director Andy Walder.
May’s role will combine the jobs of Walder, who has left the company without a job to go to after just eight months, and marketing controller Nick Rust. May joined Ladbrokes in April as head of telemarketing and will report to managing director Alan Ross.
Rust has been appointed director of operations and will be responsible for e-gaming. It is understood the restructure was implemented to give greater focus to Ladbrokes’ online strategy.
May says: “We have over 250 online rivals, so there is plenty of brand development and customer retention work to do.”
