Lloydspharm rolls out first TV campaign

Lloydspharmacy has unveiled its first TV campaign, to run from September 18 to Christmas this year.

Devised by Mustoe Merriman Herring Levy, with media buying by Starcom Motive, the &£1m pilot commercial will be first transmitted in the HTV and Meridian regions before rolling out nationally.

The 40-second advertisement shows a series of Lloydspharmacy pharmacists calling out to their customers from the top of a bridge and a mountain-side. The commercial will carry the strapline “Your Local Health Authority”, to encourage customers to consider their community pharmacists as first port of call for advice on all healthcare issues.

A series of ten-second product commercials have also been created to highlight four key areas to be marketed over the autumn period: baby, winter remedies, vitamins and Christmas fragrance.

There are 1,300 Lloydspharmacy stores in the UK, but Meridian and HTV have been chosen for the test as they are the areas the company will rebrand in first.
