Oh, those slavedrivers at Capital

Capital Radio’s new recruit, former Radio 1 producer Ben Cooper, wrote a very revealing diary column for The Mirror’s “A” List supplement recently.

The column was not revealing in the usual “last night I was out partying with Leonardo di Caprio when Madonna came over and said…” manner.

Oh no, it was far more interesting than that.

Cooper describes how he gets up at midday and then “potters” around with mates or colleagues.

Then comes the revealing bit: “We then have our first production meeting of the day, usually held at our favourite haunt, Soho House,” Ben explains. Daily production meetings every day in Soho House? The Diary thinks it may have discovered the real reason behind Cooper’s defection from Radio 1.
