Fox Kids in collaboration with Kalisto

Fox Kids Europe, the children’s entertainment company, has struck a deal with leading software developer Kalisto Entertainment to launch a range of interactive games and merchandise featuring children’s favourite TV characters, including Power Rangers and Spiderman.

The five-year agreement allows Kalisto, creator of games such as Dark Earth and Nightmare Creatures, to develop interactive products for children aged six to 12. Twelve interactive games and three cartoon TV series with associated merchandise have already been finalised.

Fox owns exclusive distribution rights for programmes including The Addams Family and Casper, plus about 200 other licences.

Nicolas Gaume, chief executive of Kalisto, says: “We will combine the strong, exhilarating entertainment experience of Fox Kids and the creative interactive content development skills of Kalisto to offer young audiences the best interactive entertainment on the market.”

Fox Kids Europe chairman and chief executive Ynon Kreiz says: “Kalisto will provide resources for the development, publishing, marketing and distribution of all products, while Fox Kids will provide experience in TV production, distribution and merchandising.

“We aim to build a leading worldwide on- and offline gaming franchise for kids and families.”
