Merrydown chief joins Well Well Well

Aqua-Pura distributor Well Well Well has drafted in the head of marketing for Merrydown Cider to be its sales and marketing director of its consumer division.

The appointment of Kevin Bolt completes a restructure which splits its operation into corporate and consumer divisions.

Prior to working on Merrydown, Bolt was sales and marketing director at Wells Soft Drinks, the water division of which was bought by Well Well Well in November last year.

He will work alongside Simon Moate, who has been promoted to general manager of the corporate wing, the Thirsty Work Water Cooler division, which is responsible for marketing the company’s 19-litre water containers.

Both will report to Well Well Well chief executive Peter Scott, the former adman.

The company markets a range of other water brands, including Aqua-Fruita Natural Fruit Flavour, Ashe Park Natural Mineral Water and own-label lines.

During the past year, Well Well Well has invested more than £12m in improving its production sites. It has also spent more than £5m promoting the Aqua-Pura brand, including a TV and poster campaign and sponsorship deals with UK Athletics and the Jaguar Formula One racing team.
