A sad tale of wasted saliva

There comes a point on a Friday night when the Diary has to make tracks for either a curry house or a pizza restaurant.

So while the Clerkenwell area of London was still raving the Diary and some contacts headed for the reliable Pizza Express, managing to beat other revellers to a table.

While a queue gathered outside, mouths began to salivate at the prospect of pizza.

The unthinkable then happened. After placing our orders we were informed that pizza was off the menu.

Salads and lasagne were offered as free alternatives. Not quite the same as pizza, and certainly not what you expect from a pizza restaurant.
