Duckworth Finn nets Disney’s Buena Vista

Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Disney’s home video arm, has appointed Duckworth Finn Grubb Waters to handle its advertising business. The account has a media spend of &£10m.

The review was handled through the Incorporated Society of British Advertisers. Duckworth Finn pitched against Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO. The incumbent, Banks Hoggins O’Shea/FCB, which had worked on the business for eight years, declined to repitch.

Anthony Peet, BVHE’s, marketing director said: “Duckworth Finn Grubb Waters has continued to show great strategic thinking and creative ad executions. Together with their client handling ability, I look forward to working with them.”

The company is understood to be planning to increase its media spend in the coming year as the advent of DVD technology offers opportunities for digitally enhanced re-releases of old Disney classics such as Fantasia and Snow White.

Media, which is handled by BBJ Media Services, is unaffected.

Anthony Peet was promoted to marketing director in April. He replaced Helen Stratton who moved into a European role in March.
