Nestlé UK has hired former McCann-Erickson media director Stuart Cox as media manager.
Nestlé UK has hired former McCann-Erickson media director Stuart Cox as media manager.
Cox spent 15 years at the agency in various roles, including media group head and head of TV buying.
Reporting to Nestlé’s director of marketing services Philip Buckman, Cox will oversee the company’s media strategy alongside David Jarvis, media manager for Nestlé Rowntree and Nestlé Ice Cream.
Cox will also head Nestlé’s in-house media operation, Fairfield Advertising, and will develop ways of expanding its revenue base.
He takes over from Matthew Pilcher, who quit to join OMD UK. Pilcher is a former deputy advertising manager at Marketing Week.
Cox says: “The opportunity to work for a leading blue-chip organisation is an exciting challenge.”
“Fairfield Advertising will also enable me to offer the benefit of additional resources to clients.”
Nestlé this week bought petcare company Ralston Purina for about $10bn (£7m), but has yet to disclose how the business will fit with its Friskies division.
