The worst name bar none for BMP

Those jolly chaps at agency BMP DDB are jumping for joy at the news that they are finally getting their very own bar in the company’s London headquarters.

After two decades of staff trudging the streets of Paddington to find a pub, the agency, which topped the Marketing Week Agency Reputations League table last year, is ready to cut the ribbon on the watering hole.

Since the bar is in a part of the building known as The Prow, it will be called “The PrOW” – in memory of favourite local The Prince of Wales.

But at least one exec doesn’t think the name is BMP’s best bit of work. He says: “Actually, it’s crap – we’re trying to find out who thought of it so we can get rid of them!”
