Regent Inns launches site in brand push

Regent Inns, operator of Australian bar chain Walkabout Inns, Bar Risa and Jongleurs comedy clubs, is launching a website to coincide with its expansion and rebranding programme.

The site, to be launched today (Wednesday), will feature information on Regent Inns’ brands, recruitment, property and finances.

Regent Inns, which also operates 92 unbranded pubs, hopes to increase the number of its Walkabout Inns from 20 to 50 and Jongleurs from eight to 20, in the next three years.

The company is in the process of rebranding the Jongleurs chain, which it bought from the club’s founders, Maria Kempinska and John Davy, for &£7m last August.

While Regent Inns owns the eight venues it can only operate them under the Jongleurs name for a year as the brand and intellectual property belong to the original owners.

The company refuses to comment on the rebranding programme but it is understood to involve all branded outlets.

The website, created by Sourcetec, is designed to boost the company’s expansion programme by featuring a link to its property department which outlines the basic requirements for any prospective site for its bars.
