Dead passionate about football

Being mad about football is one thing, but taking the beautiful game to the grave with you is an entirely different matter.

Just when you thought all commercial opportunities had been squeezed out of football, Birmingham City FC managing director Karren Brady and retailer Midlands Co-op have struck a deal to provide dual holiday and funeral services for ardent Blues supporters.

Peter Vaughan, head of corporate affairs for Midland Co-op, says: “Arranging your own testimonial offers fans a personalised way to mark their sporting passion”.

So not only can Blues’ fans while away their weekends watching third-rate soccer, they can also spend the rest of their spare time arranging a perfect send-off!
