It’s as safe as curry houses

First the industry invented ads on litter bins, then it came up with ads on the bottom of pint glasses – now the great ambient media circus has come up with possibly its silliest way of spicing up advertising.

Airline pilot Mark Tuppen has developed the “CurrySafe” cardboard tray which allows motorists to safely carry curry in their cars without having to mop up spillages. Tuppen says this hot new medium could be seen “by millions every day”.

He claims he invented the “CurrySafe” to cut the risk of crashing his car while keeping an eye on his curry. But the Diary thinks it’s yet another way to invade our personal space.
