HarperCollins and Ministry of Sound to sell club guide

The Ministry of Sound has signed a deal with HarperCollins to publish a series of holiday guides for clubbers, called Misguided.

Described as “the clubbers’ version of the Rough Guide”, the books will feature information on clubs, bars, restaurants and beaches. The first 144-page guide will focus on Ibiza and will be published on June 4.

Ministry of Sound will provide content for the guides and handle all marketing and advertising, while HarperCollins will print, distribute and sell the books.

Press and radio ads will break in June to coincide with the launch, along with a campaign in Ibiza.

The ads will be created by Ministry’s affiliated design team, Amp, while media buying will be handled by Media Mix.

Ministry of Sound marketing and creative director Mark Rodol says: “Misguided cuts through all the boring details you get in other guide books and delivers exactly what young people want to know – where the cool bars are, what to do and where to stay.”
