I read with interest your e-consumer article (MW March 29) regarding online auctions and in particular your reference to FSauctions, the Freeserve auction site.

FSauctions is now one of the top three UK online auction sites, with over 70,000 items on offer at any time. Our users play a vital and appreciated role in helping us provide a safe and trusted trading environment. When a user highlights a “suspect” offer, we investigate the item and then take action, if necessary, to remove the item from the site.

Online auctions are one of the Internet’s success stories and will play a significant role in the future of e-commerce.
