Landor names Alec Rattray as new marketing director

Landor, the branding and strategic design consultancy, has appointed Alec Rattray to the newly created position of UK marketing director.

Rattray has been with the company since 1998 as a senior consultant, and will head a team of four focusing on promoting the Landor brand and developing new business.

Managing director Charlie Wrench says Rattray has the track record to help build on the company’s growth over the past 12 months, as well as develop new business in emerging sectors.

Before joining Landor, Rattray was a client director at Saatchi & Saatchi Design, working with clients including Camelot, National Express and Johnson & Johnson.

He has also worked for design house RSCG Conran Design and Research International.

Rattray says: “My goal is to increase Landor’s reputation as brand builders, assisting clients with brand analysis, management, expression and engagement.

“Branding is now an integral component in the business strategies of companies in every sector, from packaged goods and telecoms through to engineering and pharmaceuticals.”

Landor has recently worked for France Telecom, BMI British Midland, Kraft Foods International, Alfa Laval, Panasonic and Walkers.
