All-Hotels signs up head of marketing

All-Hotels, one of the world’s leading online hotel booking companies, has appointed former Nestlé marketer Martin Bishop to the new position of chief marketing officer.

Bishop was previously vice-president for marketing at e24/7, an e-mail company based in California. He will be responsible for creating and implementing All-Hotels’ consumer marketing strategy.

All-Hotels has also promoted sales and marketing director Jill Chalmers to the new role of chief sales officer.

Prior to joining e24/7 – which closed last year due to cashflow problems – Bishop spent 15 years at Nestlé, in the US, Switzerland and South Africa, where he was responsible for marketing the Taster’s Choice and Nescafé coffee brands.

He says the strategy at All-Hotels is to focus on reaching consumers at the point where they make their hotel bookings.

“The online travel business is growing rapidly and All-Hotels is at the forefront of the market,” says Bishop.

All-Hotels has links to more than 60,000 hotels worldwide, including 20,000 in Europe.

All-Hotels also provides a range of e-business solutions to hoteliers, including the use of A-Res – an online booking engine that allows small, independent hoteliers to have a presence on the Net.
