Beefed-up version of team building

It’s nice to see bosses mucking in with their shop-floor staff from time to time. But the Diary wonders if Burger King chiefs have gone too far this time.

The fast-food chain’s head honchos from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa trekked to Rotherham in deepest, darkest Yorkshire for a team-building exercise that could have turned into a day of back-breaking labour.

The managers, along with a trusty team of construction engineers, were tasked with building a drive-thru restaurant in just 24 hours. It appears that the BK managers are all rather beefy – they managed it without even breaking into a sweat. The Diary can only hope that they managed to keep their builders’ bums under wraps while on their Challenge Anneka-style day out.
