Rodrigues returns to Ericsson UK

Alex Rodrigues has returned to Ericsson’s UK mobile telephones consumer products division, where he was marketing chief, to take up the role of managing director, just two months after leaving the division.

Rodrigues relocated to Singapore in March to run Ericsson’s accessories business in the Asia-Pacific region. He was replaced by Steve Walker as director of marketing and new business for consumer products (MW March 29).

But Rodrigues has been brought back to replace Keith Westcott as head of the consumer products division. Westcott has taken up a new post with responsibility for the northern European region and reports to head of global sales, Ulf MÃ¥nsson.

The changes are part of Ericsson’s restructuring before it merges its mobile phones business with that of the Sony Corporation (MW April 26).
