Disposable income for P&G

So Procter & Gamble (P&G) is to launch disposable bibs (MW last week), is it? And this follows the launch of disposable nappy-changing mats.

So Procter & Gamble (P&G) is to launch disposable bibs (MW last week), is it? And this follows the launch of disposable nappy-changing mats. I bet binmen all over the country are joining hands and singing for joy.

Before someone from P&G writes in telling us that it actually takes more energy to wash a terry-towelling nappy than it does to make a disposable one (does this include the packaging, and the transport?), although the disposable ones don’t make such good polishing cloths in later years, I should add that this isn’t my point. I’m not even trying to make a point against P&G: it is just another sad example of an unnecessary product for lazy people who really don’t care that they’re filling up landfills and generating ever more rubbish for the sake of a few minutes saved.
