DIY chain Homebase has become the latest convert to affiliate marketing.
DIY chain Homebase has become the latest convert to affiliate marketing.
The company, which was recently sold to Schroder Ventures by J Sainsbury, has linked its Homebase.co.UK website to the TradeDoubler network.
The network works on a performance-based advertising model. Homebase is using the new deal to increase traffic, generate leads, extend brand reach and drive sales.
TradeDoubler’s programme will connect targeted affiliate sites to the relevant section on Homebase.co.UK.
The aim is to direct traffic from the affiliate sites to the appropriate part of the Homebase site. The programme will also promote Homebase’s other online marketing efforts, such as seasonal promotions.
Homebase.co.UK will reward its affiliate sites by paying a commission equal to four per cent of sales generated. It will also ensure regular and timely information is delivered to sites.
Homebase joins companies such as Carphone Warehouse, Waterstone’s and Ebay in advocating affiliate programmes.
