They shoot clothes-horses…

Ann Summers, purveyor of (allegedly) sexy underwear, has decided to dump the busty mannequins from its Charing Cross store, because they are not considered “edgy” enough, the Diary hears.

Since being fired, the naughty nylon-haired models have been spotted partially clothed and touting for business at a host of dodgy West End locations.

The mannequins’ agent, “Big Phil”, says: “My mannequins appeal to lads. Anne Summers wants to appeal to modern, cosmopolitan people.”

But the Diary feels sure that their rigid poses and wooden personalities will strike a chord with someone.

Careers in pop music or children’s television (or maybe direct marketing) will surely follow.
