Coca-Cola unveils ITV1 sponsorship credits

Coca-Cola, which sponsors The Premiership, ITV1’s new football highlights programme, has unveiled its sponsorship credits for the show, which starts this Saturday (August 18). Fans will be treated to anecdotes about how families of top Premiership players enjoy a unique relationship with the game. It is likely that it will feature the family of a player from each Premiership club and include relatives of Rio Ferdinand of Leeds and Robbie Savage of Leicester City. New bumpers will be developed over the coming months and will take in World Cup 2002. The campaign was devised by Wieden & Kennedy, Amsterdam, who also developed the ‘Eat Football, Sleep Football, Drink Coca-Cola’ campaign. Media was negotiated by Universal McCann. Coca-Cola Great Britain managing director Charlotte Oades says: ‘Football is a national passion and a source of enjoyment for millions of people across the country.’
