SCA Hygiene Products, the makers of the Bodyform and Velvet brands, has promoted its UK managing director for consumer products, Willem Emmen, to the newly created position of European manager of operations for consumer products.
The move follows a recent consolidation of the company’s European operations, with all the regional marketing chiefs of the European countries reporting to Emmen.
Emmen, who will be based at the company’s headquarters in Munich, Germany, will continue to report to the company’s president for consumer products, Stefan Angwald.
In the UK, Emmen has been replaced by Andi Pier, formerly the company’s finance director. Pier will also report to Emmen.
Earlier this year, the company announced it was scrapping plans to appoint a European marketing director after restructuring for the second time in four months. The latest reshuffle followed the resignation of Western European marketing director, David Macfarlane last year (MW March 1).
