Building up the accident rate

Having read Iain Murray’s article on the French and their strenuous efforts at DIY (MW last week), I couldn’t help but wonder whether the compilers of the Home Accident Surveillance Statistic Report had taken into account my husband’s visits to casualty following botched attempts at DIY. Had they included his various injuries I’m sure there would have nearer 4,000 reported DIY-related accidents a year. I’m sure he’s going for gold.
