North London kitties are sitting pretty

Visitors to the Cats Protection League’s north London shelter will have reason to paws for thought.

Design agency MED had a cat’s eye view in mind when it drew up designs for the shelter which was being revamped to give it a more modern image, in line with the charity’s new logo.

Hence the “Fat Bird” reception desk in the shape of a feathered friend, the paw-shaped seating, the cat flap point of sale units, the magazine holder that takes inspiration from a ball of string, the “Munchie” shaped lighting and the virtual fish tank screen saver for a flat screen set in the wall.

If north London’s cats purr with contentment, the charity will give MED the thumbs up to roll out the design to its other 28 shelters around the country.
