Sunday Times launches 64-page homes supplement

The Sunday Times is launching a new 64-page colour tabloid supplement, called Home.

The new supplement will be launched in this weekend’s paper, and will replace the existing 16-page broadsheet Property section.

Home will feature a range of articles, from how to buy a house abroad to useful tips on DIY projects. There will also be a team of expert columnists, offering advice on decorating, restoring and selling your home and answering legal queries on matters such as coping with noisy neighbours.

Carey Scott, a former Moscow correspondent for The Sunday Times, will edit Home.

John Witherow, editor of The Sunday Times, says: “With such a buoyant property market there is great demand from our readers for information on home buying, selling and improvement.”

Times Newspapers appointed Andrew Mullins as marketing director for both the weekly and Sunday titles in June (MW June 16). He replaced Patrick Sheriff and is responsible for managing the £9.5m ad budget. He was previously at Diageo.

The Times and The Sunday Times are running a promotion where readers can buy both titles for £1 a week over periods of 12, 24 or 48 weeks.
