Hotel chain Holiday Inn launches its first brand push for ten years, with a &£2m advertising campaign which breaks today Wednesday 19 September. The campaign follows the rebranding of 79 Posthouse Hotels, bought by Holiday Inn’s parent company Six Continents in April. The campaign aims to show people the ‘positive’ experience of staying at a Holiday Inn. The ads were developed by The Pepper Corporation, with media bought by New PHD. The campaign has three executions, which will run on 750 poster sites nationwide, with a follow-up campaign in the national press. Senior vice-president sales and marketing Robin Wicks says: “Holiday Inn needs to relaunch to tell consumers its hotels are here and ready for business. The company has not ‘talked’ to consumers with any kind of brand message for some time. Most marketing in this sector has been very much promotions driven for a number of years.”
