Credit where it’s due in the US

I just saw Polly Devaney’s article “Mixed messages from brands in the aftermath” (MW October 18) and would like to pass along one clarification. The assistance provided to Cantor Fitzgerald’s eSpeed group in the wake of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Centre came from the New York office of Rapp Collins Worldwide and RappDigital, our interactive marketing firm, not WWAV Rapp Collins as stated in the article.

We are extremely proud of the support provided by our staff to eSpeed, our financial services client located on the upper floors of the World Trade Centre. Shortly after the attack, staff from RappDigital and RC-New York helped eSpeed relocate to temporary office space in Midtown and provided more than a dozen volunteers over the course of the following days to create and enter information into a database of information about missing Cantor Fitzgerald employees.

In addition, Critical Mass, an award-winning Web-development company and part of the RappDigital network, volunteered its time and expertise to create a pro bono memorial website for Cantor Fitzgerald.
