Domino’s Chris Moore in line for promotion

Domino’s Pizza sales and marketing director Chris Moore, who earlier this year was tipped by Marketing Week as a marketer to watch, is to be promoted to a new role within the company.

Moore’s title has yet to be finalised, but he is likely to become either deputy chief executive or commercial director. He will take responsibility for franchise sales and corporate stores, which account for about 15 per cent of the Domino’s chain. For the time being, he will remain responsible for marketing.

Moore, who was featured in a “Ten to watch” Marketing Week story earlier this year (MW January 4), joined the pizza chain in 1990 as head of its European marketing team. He was behind the decision to sponsor The Simpsons – which yielded higher sales – and also oversaw the successful launch of its online fast-food delivery service.

Domino’s has expanded to 230 outlets in the UK and Ireland and is the market leader in the home delivery market. It reported sales of about &£1.75m via digital channels for the six months to July 1, which accounted for about four per cent of total sales.
