The judging panels of the IPA Effectiveness Awards include experts in econometrics, brand valuation, market research and advertising, together with senior clients.

Last year, these included Sainsbury’s chairman, Prudential group chief executive, Vodafone md, Financial Times md, and Heinz general manager.

Brierley’s suggestion is insulting to them. He should withdraw it.
