Sledge beats M&C Saatchi to £2m Bryant Homes account

Bryant Homes has appointed Sledge to handle its £2m creative advertising account.

Bryant Homes has appointed Sledge to handle its &£2m creative advertising account.

The London-based marketing and communication agency won the business after pitching against a number of agencies, including incumbent M&C Saatchi, Lowe Lintas and TBWA/London.

The company called the review last month, only 15 months after appointing M&C Saatchi to handle the business. It followed the appointment of former AXA UK marketing director Andy Hurst as Bryant Homes director of sales and marketing. He joined the house building company in October this year, with a brief to boost the brand in the construction industry.

The Solihull-based company was bought by rival Taylor Woodrow for &£632m in February this year, and the company’s house building business, Taywood, was rebranded Bryant Homes.

It is not known if Bryant Homes’ ads will continue in the same vein as the TV commercials created by M&C earlier this year, which showed how the company tries to accommodate people’s needs for space, beauty and privacy when building homes. The spots ended with the strapline “Bryant Homes. Anything else is just a house”.

The appointment of Sledge will not affect the media account, which will be handled by Walker Media.

Neither Sledge nor Bryant Homes were available for comment on the appointment.
