Shake-up at Premier sparks replacement of marketing director Ivor Harrison and roster agency Fallon

Premier International Foods has parted company with group marketing director Ivor Harrison and roster agency Fallon in a shake-up of its management and marketing activities.

Former United Biscuits (UB) brand marketer Howard Beverage is replacing Harrison, who was appointed less than a year ago (MW February 8, 2001). The move follows the appointment of former UB managing director Robert Schofield to joint chief executive of Premier, alongside John Nichols. Marketer Carl Turner has also left the company. Premier would not confirm whether Harrison and Turner have jobs to go to, ahead of an official announcement due later this month.

Clemmow Hornby Inge, which won Premier’s &£3m Loyd Grossman sauces account last month, is replacing Fallon. The agency, which is rapidly gaining business, will handle advertising for the Typhoo and London Fruit & Herb tea brands, Smash instant mashed potato and the &£4.4m HP Canned Food account. Fallon is believed not to have repitched for the business.

Clemmow Hornby Inge will be the fourth agency to handle the &£3.5m Typhoo Tea account since 1999. During that time Delaney Lund Knox Warren, Mother and Fallon have all taken charge of the business.
