Princes group in marketing restructure

Princes, the food and drinks group, has restructured its marketing functions following a shake-up of its business operations.

The business has been remodelled into three operating groups, Princes Foods Trading & Manufacturing (UK), Princes Foods International and Princes Soft Drinks (UK & Europe), in an effort to double the size of the business over the next three years.

General manager Neil Brownbill has been responsible for marketing within the trading division following the departure of Michelle Ibbs (MW June 7, 2001). Brownbill has been promoted to marketing director and will be directly responsible for Foods Trading marketing, and have a “co-ordinating” marketing role across the group.

Lisa Palillo, the soft drinks division marketing director, has left the company for another post. It is not clear whether she will be replaced but Princes is looking to appoint a commercial director for the group.

Brownbill says there are no plans in the short term to review agency arrangements. Princes uses McCann-Erickson Manchester and Poulter Partners, which is handling the relaunch of Italian food brand Napolina.
