PricewaterhouseCoopers reviews £2.3m ad brief at McCann-Erickson

PricewaterhouseCoopers, the accountants and management consultancy, is reviewing its £2.3m UK advertising account, held by McCann-Erickson.

The company has mainly used press, posters and radio to advertise its services, although some of the press work is done in house alongside the incumbent. The review is being handled by the AAR. As yet no shortlist has been created.

The review is expected to be overseen by UK marketing director Jon Geldart.

McCann won the account from Ammirati Puris Lintas in November 1999.

PricewaterhouseCoopers is one of the world’s largest professional services organisations. It employs 150,000 people in 150 countries.

In November, the company relaunched its consulting arm in the UK as PwC Consulting. FutureBrand created the brand. At the time the consultancy arm became operationally separate from the accountancy side.

In February, the company announced plans to float the consultancy arm on the US stock market in the first half of this year.

PricewaterhouseCoopers is acting as auditor for Enron Europe, following the sacking of Arthur Andersen.

This year, the company will oversee the voting system for the Academy Awards for the 68th year running.
