I’d just like to thank the 13,000

Congratulations to British Airways. The airline was celebrating at the Superbrand awards last week after it managed to scoop a community award for its sterling work.

The company certainly has been doing some valuable work for the community of late. Last year, it announced it was making redundancies, and at last count 13, 000 jobs were being cut. Marketing director Martin George has had to make 700 people redundant in his division.

Still, it’s good for all those people in the community looking to work in a job centre. Thanks to BA, there are plenty of opportunities.

And well done to Microsoft for winning the reliability award. That’s Microsoft, which had warned last year that its Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer products were vulnerable to hackers.
