Tokyo, Seoul, the dining room table…

We are all excited by the approach of the football World Cup, and most of us dream about playing for our country. Sadly, most of us play like Victoria rather than David Beckham.

Fear not! Now you too can live the dream. Using your fingers.

Next month sees the start of the Subbuteo World Cup; a perfect chance for all you marketing directors and agency types to prove yourselves on the pitch, without breaking sweat.

Teams of two are invited to enter the event, organised by the Leaflet Company, which begins on May 23 at Chelsea Football Club. There will be a mystery celebrity goalkeeper on hand to save penalties and, if that isn’t good enough for you, the event is sponsored by Marketing Week.

Ladbrokes will be taking bets on site, so be warned – finger tampering will be strictly monitored.

For more details on the Subbuteo World Cup, contact Zoe Banfield at zbanfield@leafletcompany.co.uk.
