The writing is finally on JWT’s wall

It’s the end of an era for J Walter Thompson. And what better way to commemorate the occasion than by getting some old people to scribble on walls?

Last week, the agency left its Hays Mews headquarters after almost 60 years. To mark the occasion the company invited 60 retirees, including agency veteran Jeremy Bullmore, to write farewell messages on the wall.

(Don’t worry readers – they were under the watchful eye of trained nurses and care-home staff).

Who knows what words of wisdom and inspiration were etched on those walls? Sadly we will never know as the building is now being bulldozed. And you thought ad campaigns were ephemeral.
