Insurance company Royal & SunAlliance (RSA) is recruiting a strategy leader for its commercial division. The appointee will replace Andy Farrow, who has taken up a new position within the company.

Farrow accepted a position as head of design for RSA UK three weeks ago and will oversee the design of current and future business models. He reports to UK strategy change director Tony Brown.

Farrow had held the position of strategy leader for the past 18 months.

The strategy leader is responsible for devising the company’s commercial business strategy and giving business segments a unified marketing outlook and approach. The appointee will report to commercial managing director Robert Webster.

RSA employs 50,000 people in 50 countries and serves 20 million customers. The core business is insurance and insurance-related products, divided into two broad sectors – commercial insurance and personal financial services.

The company also operates in the online insurance arena, with its More Than brand, which was launched in June last year. The &£20m launch campaign was handled by Ogilvy & Mather, which lost the account to CCHM in March (MW March 7).
