A crackpot family from a broken home

As readers may be aware, a lot of things you read in the press are written in advance of publication, before the full details come to light. For instance, last week’s Diary story about the Osbournes used a picture of the limited-edition mug, before the genuine article arrived.

Although the article claimed that the mug could hold a fair slug of Jack Daniel’s, this was only a theoretical assertion. When the real mug arrived, much to the Diary’s dismay it was in pieces – broken in transit!

Fortunately, more than one mug was sent to the Marketing Week office, so the Diary still has a vessel from which to swig copious amounts of moonshine, but hopefully the broken mug isn’t a reflection of the Osbournes’ real family life.
