HMV has restructured its e-commerce department after a two-year ‘trial’ period. Helen Gourley has been promoted from Internet buyer to the new position of Internet manager, reporting to e-commerce director Stuart Rowe. Gourley will manage the day-to-day trading of the website and will co-ordinate the implementation of onand offline marketing and content. Rowe says: “This new structure will enable HMV to further align its e-commerce operation with the retail business in a more effective way, thereby supporting the company’s overall integration strategy.”
