Peugeot unveils its TV ad campaign next week, which takes a ‘Bombay Dreams’ theme to promote its 206 model.
The ads aim to break away from the usual approach to car advertising, which often show beautiful scenery and driving shots. It features a young man trying to impress a girl with his car. The focus of the ad is an old Morris Oxford car that gets redesigned into a 206 look-alike by the man who dreams of owning the real thing, reinforcing the message that the 206 is the car to be seen in.
The ad, created by Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper, was shot in India and will be shown across Europe. It will run on satellite and terrestrial TV, with the first ad breaking on ITV on August 5.
