Direct financial services provider More Than is to launch a credit card in the autumn, taking the company further into the banking sector.
A More Than spokesman says the card will offer competitive interest rates and include a cashback rewards programme. He says customers will be able to choose between various combinations of cashback rates and interest rates, and have a say in the design of their card.
The card’s launch will be backed by a press and direct-mail campaign, to start in September. An online campaign is also expected to launch later in the year. The campaign will be handled by More Than’s existing agencies CCHM and WWAV Rapp Collins. Media planning and buying will be through Manning Gottlieb OMD.
The credit card sees More Than’s banking portfolio, which already includes savings and investment products, expand. The company also offers a range of insurance products.
More Than launched in June 2001 as the direct arm of Royal & SunAlliance, offering financial services via the Internet and telephone. It has more than 2 million customers and aims to acquire 400,000 new customers each year and increase the average product holding to three products per customer by 2004.
