French letters or just empty envelopes?

Bonjour, readers! Yes, the Diary has discovered another brand from across the waters to titillate your grey cells. Fresh from Autonumis – maker of the dispensing machines for this product – come Soft Rider condoms.

Now, we’re all aware that the French have a reputation for being great lovers (the sexy accent, the garlic breath…) but the name of these condoms suggests one of two things. Either, the French are such fantastic lovers that they need to wear condoms all the time, just in case they have to have sex at a moment’s notice, or they are in fact (as the Brits suspected all along) terrible lovers and need a condom that works when one is not at one’s best.

Perhaps, though, the former is true and the French are great lovers: after all, Soft Riders claim to be un geste de liberté et d’amour – most people just send flowers.
