If men really thought about sex every ten seconds, then the Diary would never get its copy written. So it was pleasing to read a report by LynxPR that the topic isn’t on our minds 24 hours a day.
In fact, according to the survey, last thing at night men are more likely to think about whether they have locked up the house and turned everything off than about any carnal activity. After this comes work and then, trailing in at a limp third, comes sex.
As LynxPR account director Adrian Johnson says: “Although we shouldn’t forget about home security, perhaps we should stop being so British – it would be interesting to find out what, say, the Swedish thought about.”
However, the Diary doesn’t see why the Swedes in particular should be thinking about sex – more likely they’re wondering
“Have I locked up?” as well. You could say they would be thinking about their Volvos, rather than, er, vulvas.
