BDH TBWA to win Original Source task

PZ Cussons, manufacturer of Imperial Leather, is expected to appoint roster agency BDH TBWA to handle its newly acquired Original Source hair and body care brand. The six-year old brand was acquired from Health & Beauty Solutions this week.

The Manchester-based agency picked up the &£8m Cussons account in 1999, after PZ Cussons parted company with Bates UK. The advertising and marketing budget for Original Source has yet to be decided.

Health & Beauty Solutions product range includes the popular Original Peppermint Source bath and shower products and the Original Orange Source range.

Last month, BDH TBWA used hygiene warnings in the new TV campaign for the Carex range. The campaign continued to use the Carex Squirts characters, introduced in 2001, but moved the action out of the home and into a public toilet. This represented a departure from the “at home” scenario traditionally used to promote Carex.

The company’s Imperial Leather brand is launching a two-in-one product called Double Bubble, supported by an estimated &£5m advertising campaign created by BDH TBWA (MW July 18).
