HHCL & Partners has created a television ad for Texaco to promote the petrol company’s promotional link-up with Disney’s new animated film, Lilo & Stitch, which goes on national release this week. Lilo & Stitch has taken $100m (&£64.2m) at the US box office in only three weeks. The ad, which will be shown in ten and 30-second executions on ITV, Channel Four and Five, is part of a &£2m through-the-line support package for the Disney-Texaco deal, which will also be backed with radio, public relations and forecourt activity. About 1,000 Texaco-branded petrol stations (90 per cent of the network) have signed up for the Lilo & Stitch promotion, which was developed by Texaco’s marketing department with its retail advisory council and HHCL. Media buying is by MediaVest.
