Telewest Broadband marketing chief quits

Telewest Broadband head of marketing for interactive services David Caswell has left the company following a further round of restructuring at the troubled cable company.

It is understood that the former marketing director of the defunct natural health products website Clickmango.com does not have a job to go.

The latest restructure follows the August appointment of Charles Burdick in place of ousted chief executive Adam Singer. It also sees the commercial director of the consumer division, Gavin Patterson, promoted to managing director, and David Hobday, sales and marketing director, taking the position of deputy managing d

irector for that division. John Petter remains as marketing director for the consumer division, reporting to Hobday.

Mark Luiz, who was made chief operating officer of the business and consumer divisions by Singer in May, has become group finance director.

It is understood that Burdick is reviewing all supplier arrangements, including the cable company’s &£6m creative account held by Saatchi & Saatchi and the media account held by Media Insight. It is not known whether this will result in a full-scale pitch for the business.
