The world is her oyster, honestly

While leafing through the newspapers last week, the Diary noticed that the Miss World Competition is being boycotted by at least five contestants. And as it seems to be a bit of a hot topic at the moment the Diary thought this would be of interest.

Former Miss Scotland and the second runner-up in 2001 Miss World, the aptly named Juliet Jane Horne, has hired Scottish PR company Beverly Tricker PR. The reason? To promote Juliet’s career after her dabble with worldwide fame. This has ranged from a seven-day fact-finding mission to Senegal on behalf of World Vision and modelling Storm Wedding gowns’ Ultimo Bra.

Also in the pipeline is a role in a “high-profile TV drama”. The Diary’s sure she’ll do well, so long as the part includes giggling and a reference to “world peace”.
