John Brown Citrus produces Yell guides

Yell, the Yellow Pages company formerly owned by BT, has appointed John Brown Citrus Publishing (JBCP) to launch local entertainment guides, in an attempt to promote regular use of the Yellow Pages.

The first edition of the guide, to be called Living in Your Area, will form part of the directory distributed in the Dundee region this week. Living in Your Area will make up the first 16 to 32 pages of Yellow Pages and will offer information on community services and leisure activities, such as ideas for shopping, days out and nightlife. The guide will not be printed on yellow paper.

Yellow Pages head of external relations Richard Duggleby says: “I am confident that Yellow Pages’ users will find the enhanced guides useful in their everyday lives and for planning family days out or special occasions such as birthdays.” Living in Your Area will include advice on transport, recycling, emergencies, local councils, helplines and counselling services.

JBCP has signed a two-year contract with Yell to produce the guides.
